The BMW 3 Series has sold over 16 million units since its first release in 1975. Since then, it’s remained BMW’s most popular model for good reason. This all-round smooth driver is famous for its expert handling, comfortable interior and innovative tech features – all packed into a stylish shell. It is a great car to buy.
The BMW 3 Series is a slightly more spacious and powerful model, compared to the BMW 2 Series. Although the differences are minimal across both sedans and wagons, the BMW 3 Series remains the manufacturer’s best-selling vehicle. Both cars offer rear-wheel drive, and the option to switch between sport and manual.
Both the BMW 3 Series and 4 Series have the same 2.0-liter turbo I-4 engine and both offer similar gas mileage. The 3 Series has a slightly higher horsepower of 255, while the 4 Series offers 248 horsepower. Both cars are similar in size, though the 3 Series offers less interior space and some argue, more style.
